The reasoning of the Italian Football Federation is clarified: This is why the punishment for Juventus went from -9 to -15 points
Written by SOT.COM.AL 30 Janar 2023
Juventus was punished by sports justice with the removal of 15 points from the Serie A ranking, this for the maneuvers in the financial balances for salaries and player movements known as "plusvalence".
According to the decision argued by the Italian Football Federation and published in part, the evidence for Juve's punishment was irrefutable.
"It is indisputable that the overview of the facts that was determined by the documentation that was passed from the Prosecutor's Office of Turin to the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the FIGC, which used it to return the decision, was not recognized by the federal court at the time of the first decision and if had he known, he would certainly have brought a different decision", it was written, among other things, in the argument.
"Taking as a basis the precedents pertaining to the changes in the club's accounting for several periods, in quantity and intensity, it was considered necessary to redefine the sanction compared to the request of the federal prosecutor", the decision states.
Basically, it was considered that Juventus had committed the crime, "given the documentation coming from the club's managers and the relevant manuscripts found, the unequivocal wiretapping and further evidence related to interventions to hide documents or even manipulate invoices ".
The decision also states that the changes in the invoices were made with a pen.
