The Kosovo judo team will participate in the World Championship, which will be held from October 6 to 13, 2022 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Kosovo is represented by 4 contestants. The team is led by Olympic champion Distria Krasniqi, who competes in the category up to 52 kg. Meanwhile, the other Kosovar contestants will be Flaka Loxha (-57 kg), Laura Fazliu (-63 kg) and Loriana Kuka (-78 kg). Krasniqi is the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and the 2019 world bronze medalist, Kuka is the 2019 world bronze medalist, while Fazliu, who is enjoying good form this year, is the European 2022 runner-up. Loxha is slowly rising to high levels. All are Olympic scholarship holders for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The World Cup will be missed by the Gjakova, Nora and Akili family. According to coach Driton Kuka, both are absent due to injuries. Nora is the "Tokyo 2020" Olympic champion, while last year she won the bronze medal at the World Championships, in the -57 kg category. Akili is the champion of Europe 2021, category -73 kg and seventh place in Tokyo 2020. Loxha competes on Saturday, Fazliu on Sunday, and Kuka on Tuesday.
