"For those who love me and hate me"/ Gianni Infantino takes the 'helm' of FIFA again, the president has an important message for everyone

Gianni Infantino was once again at the helm, resuming his post and leadership as FIFA president. The decision was made today, during the 73rd Congress in Kigali.

The victory decision was immediate, as there was no rival in the race who could challenge the Italian.

In the speech held in front of the attendees, Infantino emphasized that he will continue to serve football worldwide with dedication.

"It is an incredible honor and privilege and a great responsibility," Infantino said. "I promise to continue to serve FIFA and football worldwide. To those who love me, and I know there are many, and to those who hate me... I love you all," the FIFA president added.

Infantino confirmed that FIFA's revenue hit record levels during 2019-22, but promised to increase it significantly with the realization of a 32-team Club World Cup.

“Revenues grew to a record $7.5 billion by 2022, a period when the world was hit by COVID-19. When I arrived, FIFA's reserves were around $1 billion, today they are almost $4 billion," Infantino said.
