The Olympic Judo Champion, Nora Gjakova has won the gold medal in the Baku Grand Slam. The judoka from Kosovo defeated Eteri Liparteliani of Georgia in the final, for weight up to 57 kg, receiving 1000 Olympic points.
Nora Gjakova excelled in the Grand Slam and secured the gold medal, first by triumphing over the Polish Arleta Podolak, then she defeated the German Seija Ballhaus, she also won against Priscilla Gneto from France and in the semi-finals she had no difficulty with the Turkish Hasret Bozkurt either. Gjakova competed in the category up to 57 kilograms.
On the other hand, Distria Krasniqi won the silver medal in the Judo Grand Slam in Baku. The Albanian judoka from Kosovo started well, after defeating the Brazilian Jessica Pereira, the Moroccan Soumiya Iraoui, while in the semi-final she won the Olympic medalist Odette Giuffirida, while losing in the final, from the Japanese, Kisumi Omori. Krasniqi has collected 700 Olympic points and competed in the category up to 52 kilograms.
