Midfielder Donald Mëllugja: Europe is a great success, now it's the Cup's turn

Egnatia is having a really fantastic time. All the protagonists are enjoying these emotions and one of them is the midfielder Donald Mëllugja.

The midfielder started the season not at the right pace, but over time he became important and immovable from the formation.

In an exclusive interview for "Panorama Sport", the burrelas reveals pleasant facts and events, experienced in a team of a small town like Rrogozhina. But Egnatia in this season is recording a story full of beautiful events, never tried before.

After the victory with Erzen, the big dream of participating in the Conference League came true. How did you expect this success?

For Egnatia it is a very big success, since we are a team that belongs to a small town like Rrogozhina, but everyone has noticed that it is a very football-loving people.

How satisfied are you with your performance this season?

I played for many years in my hometown of Burrel, but I was also part of several other teams. My performance is related to all the good performance that Egnatia is currently doing. Here in Rrogozhin, I openly say that I feel at home, because we have a supergroup.

There are two more matches for the championship. With Teuta in Durrës and with Kukës in Rrogozhinë. A prediction for them?

We will go to give our best in these two matches. We will try to give and receive the best.

The final of the Cup of Albania is approaching, on June 1 against Tirana. What atmosphere do you have right now on the eve of this match?

The atmosphere is very good. Everyone is optimistic about this final match against Tirana, as we want the Cup to come to Rrogozhinë. We will do everything for this.

There were several matches played in "Arena Egnatia" without fans. Do you have a message for them?

We miss them a lot. They are an irreplaceable asset for us. Before they were punished, everyone saw how every match was filled in "Arena Egnatia". Even in this last period, which have been condemned, in the premises around the stadium, our fans follow us with heart and soul and encourage us strongly.

I hope that we have satisfied them with our achievements and reward them for this support by winning the Cup of Albania for the first time. To celebrate with them all the good things we have done this season.

This closing season has brought many positive records. Would you single out anything that impressed you the most?

I am glad that all the facts of this season are being appreciated as historical. There is nothing more beautiful than that. I feel proud to belong to this team, which has really had a great season.

You scored only one goal, in that 4-0 victory over Vllaznia. How did that masterful finish stick in your memory?

I gave that goal a name. I will forever call it the goal of life.

Egnatia has a president who is investing heavily. Do you think this is a guarantee for the future?

I think that Egnatia is lucky to have such a simple and correct man at the head of the club.
