Lionel Messi to star in his own animated TV series. The PSG star has agreed a deal with Sony Music Entertainment, according to Deadline magazine. The project will be part of Messi's post-football adventure after he retires from the sport. Messi revealed that the opportunity to be in an animated series is one of his "dreams".

Currently in development, the series will portray Messi as "a kid who faces obstacles while traveling through a video game" and will feature original music by Sony Music artists and composers. The new series will be available in English, Spanish and other languages.

"Since childhood, I have always loved animated series and my children are big fans of animated characters," the Argentine soccer star said in a statement.

"Being able to participate in an animation project makes me happy because it fulfills one of my dreams. I would like to thank Sony Music for joining this project and we hope that the result will be liked by everyone, especially little girls and boys," said Leo.
