How are organic tomatoes labeled?
Most organic products are labeled as organic, however another indicator of an organic product is the PLU, a number system that uniquely identifies the bulk produce sold in grocery stores and supermarkets.

So organic tomatoes are labeled with a five digit code and this code always starts with the number 9.

How are conventionally grown tomatoes labeled?
Conventionally grown tomatoes are those grown with pesticides, fertilizers, hormones, fungicides or antibiotics.

These types of tomatoes differ from organic ones because their label contains a four-digit code.
