We live in challenging and unpredictable times. We think about our health, the health of our close people, negative news is number one every day in all communication channels, and uncertainty due to economic and work consequences adds to the fear.

It's perfectly okay to feel anxious and scared at times, but you shouldn't lose yourself as a support, as a pillar of peace and stability.

"Mindfulness technique" is based on increasing awareness of the present moment and the possibility to see something good in every moment of our life. It helps us not to burden ourselves with things that will happen tomorrow or happened yesterday, but to enjoy and benefit from what is happening NOW.

Here's a mindfulness exercise that can help you release tension, stress, fear, and other unpleasant emotions in a chaotic time:

Sit comfortably, keep your feet on the floor and place your hands in your lap. Close your eyes and begin to inhale deeply and exhale through your nose.

Inhale for a count of 1, then exhale, then inhale for a count of 2, then exhale again, and so on to 10.

After that, start counting down and take deep breaths in and out through your nose again.

Try not to force anything, but breathe slowly. When you inhale, focus on the area between your nose and lips.

Visualize the anxiety filling you with each breath and breathe freely and loudly. You may cry during exercise, but this too is natural and healing. Each tear may represent a negative emotion that has left you.

Practice this exercise for 20 minutes, and if it is too much for you at first, then practice four times a day for 5 minutes.
