Weather fluctuations increase the number of viruses, doctors issue an important warning

Fluctuation of temperatures by several degrees in the mornings and during the day has increased the number of viruses in circulation and the flow of small patients presenting to the doctor.

"We have an increased flow of viruses that are intertwined with other factors such as spring allergies. In this period, they are a consequence of the change in ambient temperatures with large fluctuations over 10 degrees" - says Aida Mara, pediatrician.

Small children show a high temperature, but often viruses mixed with allergies also cause breathing difficulties.

"High temperatures can be associated with angina, pharyngitis, laryngitis. They can also be accompanied by problems of viral exanthems, embers on the body, where parents worry that they may be infectious diseases" - adds the doctor.

The pediatrician raises a concern for young parents, mainly, who receive medication from pharmacists or antibiotics, without consulting a doctor.

"Let's not go to the pharmacy to take various medications, or direct antibiotics without seeing a doctor. Antibiotics in cases of viruses do not improve, but reduce resistance" - adds the doctor.

Although the antibiotic is forbidden to be given without a prescription, often in our pharmacies this is not respected.
