"38% of Albanians are smokers"/ The doctor raises the alarm, shows the state institution where smoking is the most

Roland Shuperka, a doctor who works in the health promotion department at the Institute of Public Health in Tirana, raised the alarm about the high rates of smoking in the country.

Invited to a television program, Shuperka emphasized that 38 percent of Albanians are already smokers.
In his analysis, he said that in recent years a rare phenomenon has been observed in Albanian society, where he emphasized that the number of male smokers fluctuates, while he expressed that the fact of the increase in female smokers is worrying.

And referring to these numbers, doctor Shuperka emphasized that in such a situation we have the Ministry of Health which is smoking itself and not moving the country.

"Even the anti-smoking law is not being implemented in the country's bars and restaurants, where smoking is clearly observed in closed public spaces", emphasized doctor Roland Shuperka, among other things.
