This afternoon, tensions were recorded again in front of the building of the municipality of Zveçan, where a protest is being held.
It took the intervention of the troops of the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, KFOR, to disperse the Serbian protesters.
As can be seen from the images published by REL, the area was engulfed by tear gas, fire and plumes of smoke, while sirens and explosions were also heard.
Protesters threw stones, bottles and Molotov cocktails at KFOR. A car was burned by the explosive devices that were thrown.
As a result, several members of KFOR were injured, while a large part of the Serbian protesters dispersed after the intervention.
However, a KFOR cordon, equipped for tense situations, continues to remain on standby in front of the municipality building.
