"Vu?i? was furious", Vjosa Osmani revealed details of the meeting with the president of Serbia

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, gave some details about the meeting she held with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and confirmed that elections can be held in the four municipalities in the north of the country, always respecting the legislation in force.

This confirmation was made after the request of the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, and the chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz.

"I informed them that our legal framework allows this possibility of elections in the north and we are ready to consider it in accordance with the law of Kosovo on elections. This means that Serbian citizens, about 20% of them who are on the electoral lists, can sign a petition and through this, they can initiate the process of new elections and we are ready to implement the law", declared Osmani.

Osmani in a press conference, within the second summit of the leaders of the European Political Community, added that he had no plans to meet the president of Serbia, but it happened after the insistence of most of the European leaders. Meanwhile, he added that the Serbian leader complained and insulted in his language.

 "Vucic exchanged opinions, he complained and of course not telling the truth, which is one of his virtues. I asked him to remove the army from the border with Kosovo. Vucic was furious, as you know, he likes to offend in his language, but what was important is that we took the advice of our allies for this meeting," she added further.

The President of Kosovo added that she is working with the EU and American partners for a solution to the situation in the north, where the focus is on the full implementation of the agreement.
