The Government of Kosovo has allocated 500,000 euros as financial support for families affected by the earthquake in Turkey, which occurred in February of this year.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti said at the Government meeting that this decision is a continuation of Kosovo's solidarity with the Turkish people.
While the Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, has stated that the allocation of funds was planned to take place in the meeting that was organized in Brussels for this purpose, but due to the impossibility of participation on an equal level, it was decided that the Government should support bilateral form.
From the powerful earthquake in Turkey and Syria, more than 50 thousand people died and over 107 thousand were injured. About 350,000 buildings were destroyed.
In the meeting of the Government, the initiative for the conclusion of the extradition agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden was also approved.
The initiative for the conclusion of the agreement for the transfer of convicted persons between Kosovo and Sweden and for mutual legal assistance in criminal matters was approved.
