According to her, KFOR not only showed unprofessionalism, but also became a source of unnecessary violence and a factor that led to the escalation of the situation.

"In the end, those who are obliged to protect the local Serbian population from the arbitrariness of the Kosovars, but this time they sided with the xenophobic Pristina and actually became accomplices of terror in the form of bodyguards for the Kosovar Albanian fraudsters. As a result, dozens of people were hospitalized, some of whom are in serious condition, "said Zakharova.

She emphasized that the selective observance of UN Resolution 1244 led to NATO's misinterpretation of KFOR's role in Kosovo, and therefore the situation is not neutral today, as it should be. In such conditions, as she further stated, "there can be no question of trust", the West should have thought much earlier before "distributing the Albanian 'presidents' in four municipalities that do not represent anything", however she adds that there is still time to change the situation if Westerners are "really interested in peace and stability".

According to Russia, the situation is resolved, it is enough for the USA and the EU to threaten Prime Minister Albin Kurti with sanctions. 

How is the situation in the north of Kosovo? 

Today, Serbian citizens protested again in the north of Kosovo to prevent the entry of new Albanian mayors into the headquarters of the municipalities in the north of Zubin Potok, Zveçan and Leposavi?. The protest started without incident, while KFOR and the Kosovo Police have set up security barricades around state buildings to avoid escalation of the situation. Meanwhile, the mayors have announced that due to the situation, they will not appear in the work offices today.
