Tensions in the North, Lista Serbe comes out with the last request to KFOR

A Kosovo Police vehicle, traveling from the police station in Zveçan, towards Mitrovica, was attacked with stones and its windows were broken.

After this incident, the representatives of the Serbian List have tried to negotiate with the head of the KFOR soldiers, requesting that the Kosovo Police not circulate through some streets of Zveçan and that KFOR teams be deployed instead.

"The reason why we came to you now is if you have the strength for your soldiers to be at these intersections so that there is no contact between the police and the citizens. I am fighting here all day, the citizens and all of us, to keep calm here at all costs, but if you don't close these roads, these intersections, we will have riots here if the special forces come again. It would mean a lot if you would make a tactical, tactical plan to close these intersections so that we don't have conflicts, that's why we called you", said the representatives of the Serbian List.

After about 20 minutes of negotiation, the KFOR representative could not guarantee such a thing, saying that the police also need to move sometimes according to their operational plan.

However, he has promised that he will do an analysis on this matter, and will return an answer, but without determining the time frame when this will happen.

 "I would like to do it but it is a problem, because on Monday I had a problem that my units were divided between groups, I asked several times to move measures to have communication, free and safe movement between KFOR units who split up to make sure I could walk towards them. I suppose you remember that we talked about this several times and we did not reach an agreement and at no point could I freely go to my KFOR soldiers, except to go through the crowd", said the KFOR representative. .

"The day what happened, I absolutely disagree with you. The citizens did not want to allow the KP policemen, that is, the Ross police, to enter here, you had a free way here and at no time did any of your soldiers who were outside this part, let's say the surrounded part, nor threatened nor attacked. And I believe you are here to keep the peace, and we came for a reason to plead with you, because according to resolution 1244, you are the only ones allowed to carry long barrels in the North, the only armed force. And we need your help to prevent these provocations, I am asking you as much as you can to ask for additional forces to protect this part here so that there are no provocations please", they said from Lista Serbe.

Today's protest in Zveçan was followed by tensions where there were provocations by the protesters towards KFOR.

Meanwhile, journalists were also hindered during their reporting, while several media vehicles were damaged, with broken windows and punctured tires.
