In 2019, Millenkovic and Mitic discovered a marijuana plantation in the agricultural property "Jovanjica" and are witnesses in the trial against its owner, Predrag Koluvije.

Veselinovic, a Serbian businessman from Kosovo, is considered the organizer of the barricades in the north of Kosovo and also the "protector" of the Serbs.

As stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zvonko Veselinovic, accompanied by the lawyer, gave a statement about Slobodan Millenkovic's claims that he had ordered and paid for the organization of his murder, as well as agreed to undergo the polygraph test.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs adds that the test has been done and that Veselinovic has passed it, denying Millenkovic's claims and saying that he does not know the person in question.

Also, it is said that the report on this investigation will be sent to the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

The Tomanovic law firm, which represents Slobodan Millenkovic, announced on October 2 that it had received information that "500,000 euros have already been paid for the liquidation of Inspector Slobodan Millenkovic", adding that it is suspected that the same amount has been paid for the liquidation of Inspector Dusan Mitic.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia confirmed in early September that inspectors Milenkovic and Mitic are being guarded by members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ).
