The famous Greek seismologist talks about the recent earthquakes that have hit Greece: We didn't expect it! What awaits the region?

Controversial Greek seismologist Akis Tselentis has made several warnings regarding the recent earthquakes in the area of ??Evia in Greece, which according to him occurred for reasons that cannot yet be explained with the data that the seismology institutes have in Greece.

Tselentis points out to the Greek media that the area where the recent earthquakes occurred is not recognized as a region with seismic activity, even though an increase in tremors has been observed in this area in recent months.

"We didn't expect the earthquake to happen in this area. It seems like a small slip, but with the current data we cannot determine how much. It is expected that with the passing of days and with the collection of other data, we will also discover the circumstances of these sudden earthquakes in Evia", he told the local media .

In recent weeks, Turkey has experienced similar, even stronger, earthquakes, which could indicate a connection between them, but Tselentis denies this.

"I don't see any connection between the earthquakes in Anatolia and those in Greece now. They are not the same fracture line of the earth's plates", he says.
