The US-EU "shakes" Vu?i?, how the isolation of Serbia is being prepared if it continues to support Putin and does not implement the "Franco-German" plan, Belgrade in panic

The US-EU "shakes" Vu?i?, how the isolation of Serbia is being

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is in a very difficult situation, as the international community will not tolerate his two-chair policy in the coming weeks. The clipped messages came yesterday, after the US-EU spoke more openly than ever warning of the isolation of Serbia if it continues to support Putin and does not implement the "Franco-German" plan. "Serbia should stop preventing Kosovo from joining international organizations", said the American senator, Chris Murphy, after the meeting yesterday with the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. He, together with Senator Gary Peters, started the visit to Kosovo, which is part of a one-week tour in the states of the Western Balkan region. "We are glad to see the latest agreement between Kosovo and Serbia that includes mutual recognition of official documents, but also the difficult steps that must be taken by both parties. "Serbia must stop obstructing Kosovo, its right to be part of international organizations", said Murphy. He referred to the Agreement towards the normalization of relations that Kosovo and Serbia reached on February 27 in Brussels, as well as the Annex to its implementation, which was reached in Ohrid on March 18. Murphy said that with this agreement, Kosovo has pledged to allow the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, stressing that he hopes that this Association will be established "as soon as possible". Strong message in Brussels

On the other hand, the head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, warned Serbia that its Euro-Atlantic aspirations do not coincide with the relations that Belgrade has with Russia. "We welcome the strategic and courageous choices of some of the Western Balkan states that are fully compliant with the sanctions against Russia. We also emphasized to those who have not aligned yet, or have not aligned at all, and here I would especially emphasize Serbia, that maintaining close ties with Russia is not compatible with its EU accession process and is also harmful for the national interest of Serbia", said Borrell. So Belgrade is preparing to isolate itself from the West if it does not change its attitude. He made these statements after the meeting in Brussels of the bloc's ministers, where the situation in the Western Balkans region and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia were discussed in the Council of Foreign Affairs. In this meeting that was held on May 22, the ministers of foreign affairs from the six countries of the Western Balkans also participated. The High Representative of the EU for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, also ordered the countries that have not adapted their foreign policy to that of the EU, to change their behavior. Serbia is the only country in the region that has not imposed sanctions on Russia due to its invasion of Ukraine, not following the example of Brussels. Meanwhile, speaking about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Borrell called on the parties to implement all the obligations arising from this process and put an end to tensions and statements and provocative behavior.

Message from Kosovo and Serbia

Even the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, said that during the meeting, several ministers emphasized the importance of normalizing relations between Pristina and Belgrade. On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, after the meeting in Brussels of the bloc's ministers, where the Foreign Affairs Council discussed the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, claims that "the representatives of Kosovo have shown behavior extremist". "They talked about Serbia being a threat to peace and stability, that we are a disruptive factor and they are a factor of peace and stability, which is not true," Dacic told reporters in Brussels.
