Serbia is still using ambulances for criminal and terrorist purposes. Serbian media reported that an ambulance was stopped transporting narcotics. The ambulance is suspected to belong to the illegal structures of Serbia in the north of Kosovo.

The use of ambulances for criminal purposes was made by the Serbs last year in the north of Kosovo. The terrorist organization "Northern Brigade" had transported weapons in ambulances to attack Kosovo institutions and NATO peacekeepers.

British MP Alicia Kearns has also raised the alarm about this issue. She had said that weapons are being smuggled from Serbia to Kosovo.

According to her, the weapons were transported by ambulances and sent to Orthodox churches.

Kearns said that KFOR soldiers from Britain were also aware of these criminal activities of Serbian structures in Kosovo.

"The government is aware that there are weapons being smuggled across the border from Serbia to Orthodox churches in ambulances. When our troops were notified of this and tried to get permission to go and get them, the permission process took a long time. By the time they got permission — the unexpected happened — an ambulance had already gone to the church and had all the guns out again," Kearns said.
