"The approach of the EU is unbalanced", Konjufca: We do not accept the Bosniakization of Kosovo!

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, says that Kosovo cannot accept all agreements with Serbia, where he mentioned Bosniakization. As for the EU, he said that there is an unbalanced approach between the two countries. Speaker Konjufca, among other things, said that Serbia's demands have become a plan of the European Union.

"Not all agreements can be accepted, we analyze them, the prime minister has his own team, and he is there for this job to analyze whether they are in the interest of Kosovo or not... 04:20 We will not let's never get tired of arguing with the International Community that this is a position from which Kosovo cannot give up. If he gave up, we could lead to the Bosniakization of Kosovo. The people voted for the Vetëvendosje Movement in addition to other reasons, I think that one of the main, central reasons why the Vetëvendosje Movement won two years ago, was because of this process of Bosniakization of Kosovo", he said.

He also showed the reasons why he considers the EU's approach to Kosovo to be unbalanced.

"It seems unbalanced to me, because all the demands that are put forward in the direction of Kosovo correspond to those that Serbia itself asks of us, such as the resignation without any procedure of the mayors of the municipalities, the invalidation of the democratic process and the legality of our institutions, all these are demands of Serbia and unfortunately the European Union is asking us for these. We cannot violate our state. It will go through constitutionality, through laws that have visibility. The process of when mayors of municipalities resign is transparent about what happens in the Republic of Kosovo. This would also happen in other municipalities, not only in the northern one. Today, if a mayor of some of these other municipalities resigns, elections will be organized", said Konjufca.

Konjufca made these statements after marking the International Day of Democracy in the Assembly of Kosovo.

In reaction to Prime Minister Kurti's statement yesterday, the European Union said today that Kosovo was not the only one that proposed on the table, but also Brussels.

Meanwhile, the proposal of the European Union was also made public today. In the EU's proposal, it is required to start immediately with the negotiation process for the Statute of the instrument of self-management of the Kosovo Serbs, while in addition Serbia does not insist on the use of the footnote and that UNMIK represents Kosovo in regional initiatives.
