'The West annexed it from Serbia'/ Croatian Prime Minister reacts 'flame for flame' after President Milanovic's statement on Kosovo

The Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, has responded to the Croatian President for the scandalous statement that "the West has annexed Kosovo from Serbia".

Plenkovic said that nobody has annexed Kosovo, as Kosovo is an independent state and a state that Croatia recognizes.

"As far as I know, nobody has annexed Kosovo. No country. Kosovo is an independent state recognized by Croatia. Annexation is when Russia occupies Ukrainian territory, organizes a fake referendum and annexes those parts to Russia. Kosovo is an independent, sovereign state that we have known. No one has annexed it", said the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic.

Prime Minister Plenkovic has further added that President Milanovic is "embarrassing Croatia" with his statements.

However, he considers that "fortunately, our friends in the international community and friendly countries know what is happening in Croatia and whose positions are".

The Croatian president's diplomatic scandal has today also been opposed by the Union of Albanians in Croatia.

They are very surprised about President Milanovic's statements.

This union has also highlighted the good relations that Kosovo enjoys with Croatia. "The Republic of Croatia was among the first to recognize the independence of the Republic of Kosovo and establish diplomatic and political relations based on partnership, cooperation and the nurturing of European values," the reaction states, among other things.
