After the bad weather emergency that hit Emilia-Romagna, it was the army that distributed a series of pharmaceutical products useful to avoid the dangers against tetanus.

This was done by a delegation of the military pharmaceutical chemical factory in Florence, a production unit of the Defense Industries Agency. Disinfectant solutions and salty food supplements have been donated, useful for avoiding possible infections from tetanus caused by floods, as the Agency explains. The supplies were delivered directly to the mayor of Monterenzio, in the province of Bologna.

For health reasons, Paola Pula, the mayor of Conselice, in the province of Ravenna, has also signed an order asking citizens of still flooded areas to leave their homes for health and hygiene reasons. The measure, taken in agreement with the council and the leaders of the groups, became necessary given the difficulties in removing the water from the town of Conselice. The risk of the situation is closely related to contact with stagnant water.
