2 Pakistanis planned terrorist attacks in Greece. The authorities prevent the event which was predicted to cause about 50 victims.

The first target was a restaurant in Psirri, which the perpetrators had chosen to attack either with weapons or explosives, at a time when there would be more than 50 people in the area. But the operation was postponed, as they could not find the weapons they were looking for. The contacts were made through WhatsApp and it is not yet clear how many other people contacted the two terrorists about their proposals.

For each victim, the two Pakistani perpetrators would receive 15,000 Euros from the mastermind of the terrorist network, a 30-year-old Pakistani who lived in Tehran and directed them.

The two arrested Pakistanis, aged 27 and 29, had been living in Zakynthos and Sparta for the past few years. They had entered the country illegally 5 years ago and as reported by the Greek media, one of them was arrested a year ago because he did not have the necessary documents.

The two people who are now in the hands of the Greek authorities were interested in killing as many people as possible to increase the amount of money they would receive.
