Greek MP Thodoros Pangalos passed away two days ago at the age of 84.

Greek media reports that Pangalos' family has requested that his body be cremated during the funeral ceremony.

Theodoros Pangalos (Greek: Θε?δωρος Π?γκαλος, born 17 August 1938) is a Greek politician and a leading member of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK). He was the Deputy Prime Minister of Greece, responsible for the coordination of the Government Council for Foreign and Defense Affairs (KYSEA) and the new Economic and Social Policy Committee from 2009 to 2012. He became a member of the Communist Party. of Greece, rising to the Central Committee, before eventually joining the socialist PASOK party during the Metapolitefsi. He was first elected as a member of parliament in 1981 in the general election with the PASOK party and has been re-elected continuously since then.
