The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today held a meeting with the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias. It is the sixth time that the head of diplomacy of the Greek government arrives in Kosovo, emphasizing the close relationship and expectations of the two countries.
The head of the government of Kosovo emphasizes that in the meeting with the Greek foreign minister, they discussed the advancement of relations between the two countries, as well as Kurti's expectations for the meeting on March 18, in Ohrid, with the Serbian President, Vucic.
"They discussed the relations between the two countries and the prospects for their advancement, establishment and strengthening.
Prime Minister Kurti once again expressed his condolences to Minister Dendias and the Greek people for the lives lost in the tragic accident due to the collision of two trains that occurred in Greece in the first week of March.
They talked about the latest developments in the country and the region, about the process of normalizing relations with Serbia and about the European proposal for a Basic Agreement. On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti informed Minister Dendias about the February 27 meeting in Brussels and Kosovo's expectations from the March 18 meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
"We discussed the Kosovo-Greece bilateral relations, how we can improve them in all spheres, but also the developments in the region, including the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which will have the next high-level meeting in Ohrid of North Macedonia next Saturday. Greece is a supporter of the liberalization of Kosovo, of European integration and also of the complete normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia. So, we can always count on Greece's support for the big European family, which is the best guarantor for our continent, both for peace and security and also for democracy and well-being", said Kurti.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Nikos Dendias, also met the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
