Kosovo prepares for war with Serbia, "Defender 23" starts, 1300 soldiers participate in the largest military exercise in the Balkans

The largest international military exercise, "Defender Europe '23", which will last until June 2, started yesterday in Kosovo. The military exercise led by the United States of America has opened in Pristina with the national anthem of Kosovo and the USA. President Vjosa Osmani was also present at the opening ceremony, who appreciated it as an exercise of collective readiness for the protection of peace. "It is a reminder that our strength lies not only in the power of our weapons, but in the connections we create, in the alliances we build and in the shared values ??we cultivate," she said. While the prime minister, Albin Kurti, described it as the biggest military training event that has ever happened in Kosovo. "Over 1,300 KSF soldiers will execute military training tasks, alongside 24,000 soldiers of the armed forces of 25 NATO countries and partner countries of the United States of America", he said. The prime minister added that the main goal of the exercise is "increasing cooperation between allies, showing unity and preparing to face a known but also unpredictable enemy", clearly referring to Serbia. Nearly 9,000 American military troops and 17,000 other forces from allied countries participate in "Defender Europe 2023" and it will extend to 9 other European countries, including Albania, in addition to Kosovo. Under the American leadership, the exercise that will take place in the village of Babaj in Boka, Gjakova, aims to increase the interoperability between the countries as well as the operational readiness of NATO to react in the event of a threat to the continent.
