They asked for the vote of their compatriots, this is how the electoral race went for the 7 Albanian candidates in Greece

Written by SOT.COM.AL 22 Maj 2023

Yesterday, the parliamentary elections were held in Greece, where alongside the Greeks this year also citizens of Albanian origin, who mostly adhere to the parties of the Greek left, ran.
"Today is an important day for Greece and for the Albanian immigrants who live here. There were 7 Albanian candidates who went down to the voting arena to ask for the vote and enter the Greek parliament. In fact, the biggest challenge has been the participation in the voting.
All the candidates have invited their compatriots in Greece to join the electoral group and go vote. It is a vote that must first be counted and of course it will be very important in the election of the new prime minister and the winning party in the upcoming elections on July 2" - said journalist Artur Bibe.
Who are the seven Albanian candidates in Greece?
Two of the candidates, Fatos Malaj and Niko Bilika, are running for the PASOK party, one in Athens and the other in Thessaloniki. While three other candidates Adiljan Koxhaj, Makrina Koci and Angjelos Jahollari compete with the "Syriza" Party in Thessaloniki and Evia.
Sidorela Kalthi is running for the Greek Communist Party in Crete and Paty Vardhami is running in Athens with the "MERA 25" initiative.
Most of the candidates from the Albanian community are talented young people from the second generation of immigrants who have been educated in Greece and England and have been involved in Greek political life.
