A four-year-old boy allegedly fell into the Ibër-Lepenci canal, in the village of Akrashticë in Vushtrri, on Monday evening.
Regarding the case, the spokesperson of the Police for the region of Mitrovica, Avni Zahiti, said that this is one of the tracks of suspicion.
He told KosovaPress that the search and rescue operation, which started yesterday, is expected to resume today.
"There are the first suspicions that he may have fallen into the Ibër-Lepenci canal, but we still do not have any concrete results. He has disappeared, not seen by his peers. Searches are expected to resume today", said Zahiti.
Zahiti said that they have included a wide scope of research and that remains to be seen.
