A 26-year-old British tourist, who was in the sea area of ??Agia Agatha in Greece, has tragically lost his life today in Rhodes after being struck by lightning.
The young tourist was in the water when it was raining and despite appeals from other tourists to get out, he remained in the sea.
The serious incident happened shortly before 2 pm (Greek time). EKAV was immediately notified, it quickly went to the scene and with the help of others, the 26-year-old man was taken to the ground where the rescue teams fought to keep him alive.
At the same time, the process of transferring him to the Archangelos Health Center began, where doctors and nursing staff followed the battle of EKAV rescuers to bring him back to life, but unfortunately it was too late.
The Central Port Authority of Rhodes has been notified of the event, whose officers will carry out the relevant investigations for this tragic event.
