What is happening? Armatoset Kosovo, the Minister of Defense gives the news: We bought "Bayraktar" and weapons systems

"In addition to drones, many other weapons and ammunition systems have been purchased", said the Minister of Defense in Kosovo, Ejup Macedonci.

The Chief of Defense in Kosovo announced that the "Bayraktar" drones purchased from Turkey have already flown over the skies of Kosovo, as a test by the Kosovo Security Forces.

"Not only drones, but all the weapons systems we have at our disposal are tested in the Kosovo Security Force. They are also used for training, soldiers are trained to operate as a tool and as a team. Byraktars have flown over the sky of Kosovo. Not only the Bayraktar drones, but many weapon systems, many ammunitions and in terms of tactical vehicles have been purchased, which were planned to be purchased at a later stage", declared Maqedonci.

Furthermore, Macedonci said that due to the continuous support of the Kurti government, the purchase of these drones was purchased ahead of time, even with additional budget.

"It is not possible to say the issue of the number or the technical issues of the purchase of "Bayraktar" drones. We can say that it is a capacity that is planned in the organizational chart of the equipment of the Kosovo Security Force. So, it is a capacity that was foreseen earlier and that was bought ahead of time as support that we had from the Government of Kosovo, i.e. from Prime Minister Kurti, with an additional budget in this matter", added the Minister of Defense on Tv1.

We remind you that the Kosovo Army has been reinforced with "Bayraktar" TB-2 drones purchased from Turkey, which are already part of the KSF arsenal. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that the purchase of drones will increase security in Kosovo.
