The Government of Kosovo has decided to close the public health emergency, thus ending the battle with the COVID-19 pandemic after three years.
The request for the closure of the emergency was made by the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, during the Government meeting.
Minister Vitia has stated that taking into account the epidemiological situation, there is no longer any reason for the anti-covid measures to be in force and has requested the annulment of the decision on the measures.
"Taking into account the epidemiological situation in accordance with the recommendation of the National Institute, the WHO statement and based on the recommendations of the advisory commission... based on the provisions of the law on the prevention and combating of the COVID-19 pandemic in the territory of Kosovo, the MOH assesses that now there are no more reasons for the anti-covid measures and thus requests the annulment of the decision on the measures", said Vitia.
