Talks between Kosovo and Serbia, NATO makes a strong appeal to Kurti and Vucic

The Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mircea Geoana, in a telephone conversation with the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, said that he strongly supports the European Union in its efforts to normalize relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

He said that it is time for Kosovo and Serbia to make compromises, as he added that NATO's commitment to the stability of the Western Balkans will continue.

"Pleasure to speak again with the EU Special Representative for Miroslav Lajcak. NATO strongly supports ongoing EU-led diplomatic efforts with Belgrade and Pristina. It is time for both sides to compromise. Our commitment to lasting stability in the Western Balkans, including NATO and KFOR, is strong," he said.
