May 14 elections/ Berisha reveals the municipalities where he is running (LIST)

With the impatience to return to the local government, to quickly gather the divided democrats around him, Berisha was the first to reveal the candidates for the May 14 seats. Since December, by a process called primary. What he did not predict was that these candidates would be unable to compete with the logo and flag of the DP, that the court decided to continue to belong to the Basha-Alibeaj group.

To get out of the situation, his ally from difficult times, Ilir Meta, helped him again. The head of the Freedom Party gave free space to his ally, as if to come to his aid after a difficult year in his fight for the party. Ilir Meta has only 4 candidates for mayor. 3 have Vangjel Dule and 54 are from Berisha starting from the capital of Albania, Tirana.

The primaries were a process that did not attract many well-known names, experienced in Parliament. There were few deputies who risked their mandate to compete in a competition. The bravest of them was Belind Kelliçi. Lined up among the first at "Foltorja", he took over the candidacy against Erion Veliaj in Tirana.

In Elbasan, deputy Luciano Boci, as the most voted deputy of the April 25 list, will try to win the city that has been governed by the left since 2007. Another deputy, Zef Hila, will try to retake the Municipality of Vau de Deja. All three of them will submit their mandate by the end of the week.

Durrës is a difficult challenge and the main focus for all the democrats, Berisha and Alibeaj. Igli Cara is a candidate who unites the democrats of Durrës and can share the party's logo, which Berisha failed to get. Because Berisha did not face Edi Rama alone. And the most difficult challenge of his coalition with Ilir Meta are the candidates that Enkelejd Alibeaj is presenting.

The other big municipality, that of Shkodra, which is currently the only one of the Democrats, Foltorja will try to keep it with the mayor Bardh Spahia. a wide alliance from Tom Doshi to Agron Çela is already campaigning against him. The seal group has not yet spoken.

Meanwhile, Korça is one of the few municipalities where Berisha competes through a woman, she is Ledina Alolli, a teacher. For Vlora, the primaries produced the candidate Hysni Sharra, currently the vice president of the PD branch. In Lezha is Pashk Gjoni, who will rival Pjerin Ndreu and from the official DP Sandër Marku.

In the North of the country, where the projections are optimistic for the DP, Berisha competes with Admir Sinamatin in Kukës, Ismail Ukan in Dibër, and Tropojë Besnik Dushaj in Dibër. He can face on his own a part of the DP, from the line of Enkelejd Alibeaj, which has so far officially nominated about 15 candidates, for Dibra, Lezha, Kruja, Kamza, Policani, Kuëova, Mallakastra, Policani and Dimal.
