The British ambassador in Tirana Alastair King-Smith gave strong messages today at the table organized by the Helsinki Committee for the protection of electoral integrity two months before the local elections. The British ambassador stated that it is important to guarantee the sanctity of the elections and that the process must be free, transparent and honest because it has to do with the future of Albania.
"Let's remember that it is important to guarantee the sanctity of elections so that every citizen feels that his vote matters and his voice is heard. We must all stand up against efforts to suppress voting rights.
