Veliaj gives the American ambassador Yuri Kim the "Key to the City":

At the end of her mandate in Albania, the Ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, was honored yesterday with the Key of the City of Tirana by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj. He appreciated the ambassador's work and excellent cooperation in the 3 and a half years she worked in Tirana, while inviting her to consider the Albanian capital as her home wherever she is on her diplomatic missions. "It was a great pleasure to have you in the city, as a citizen of Tirana. Thank you very much for the love, for the care, thank you very much for the fantastic cooperation that our teams have had. I can't wait for you to come back, treat this place like your home. This is why I want, on behalf of the city of Tirana, to honor you with the 'Key to the City', as a symbolic way to understand that this is an open door, it's an open house, it's an open heart and we don't forget our friends", stated Veliaj. Meanwhile, Ambassador Kim said that Tirana has been a home for her and that now that she is leaving, it will remain her family. "Thank you very much! Tirana has been like a home for the last 3 years and it will be very difficult to leave home, but I have the feeling that my family will remain and I hope that I will always return home", declared Ambassador Kim.
