The former US envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Grenell, in an interview for Top Story, demanded the immediate release of Hashim Thaçi.

For the wound that has been added to the pain of the Kosovo war, Thaçi's imprisonment, Grenell said that the Europeans are doing a dirty job.

"Prime Minister Rama has spoken very openly about Mr. Hashim Thaçi and what the Europeans are doing at the court of justice in The Hague. He has called Thaci a hostage, and what the Europeans are doing is scandalous. We must be capable and look ahead. They must release Thaçi, they must admit that the Jack Smith case was political. The Europeans seem to be doing a dirty job because of politics," said Grenell.

Known for his stance against Albin Kurti, Grnell said that the prime minister of Kosovo has never accepted the ideas of the Americans.

"The issue is this, I know Albin Kurtim. Look at his policies and I challenge you to find an American idea that he agrees with. He has rejected every idea, from Obama, Clinton and George Bush, he has always been against it," said Grenell in Top Story./ Top Channel
