Meeting with political leaders in Tirana, Kurti has a request for Albania

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, gave a statement to the media after the meetings held with Rama, Nikolla, Begaj and Meta in Tirana.

Kurti said that he informed the highest heads of the Albanian state about the agreement reached with Serbia in Ohrid.

Asked what he would like from Albania, Kurti emphasized Albania's help for Kosovo's membership in international organizations.

"I wanted to inform them closely and in detail about the dialogue process, but also about the constituent elements of the agreement.

Albania is much closer to Kosovo and this is also seen in the relations between us and the representation of the latter in the organizations of the international arena.

We ask Albania for support in international forums for Kosovo. Sovereignty, independence and international integrity must be protected. But also help us to join international organizations."

A complex situation for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue should be viewed carefully by Albania. This agreement is de facto mutual recognition and I also explained to them that Article 7, which talks about the management of the Serbian community, actually corresponds to the framework agreement to protect national minorities," said Kurti.
