The leader of the "Albania becomes" movement, Adriatik Lapaj, spoke this evening in an interview for "Milori Live" on Klan News about his cause.

He says that this movement essentially democratizes the country in all areas. According to him, there are 4 points that need to be changed urgently.

"It is a popular civic movement that essentially brings together professionals from different fields to organize citizens, to move from an unimportant debate to a debate about real problems of citizens' need. It is related to the organization of this team of professionals and citizens to seek the democratization of the country in several areas.

Changing the electoral system

Demanding the opening of the race and the opening of the lists, because the closed lists have not produced democracy, it is a fact that today the deputies are appointments of party leaders and not elections of the electorate.

Today, we do not have a legal instrument to control governance at the local and central level. We have held continuous protests, but it is an instrument to draw attention or call to the conscience of those who govern, but it is not a binding instrument. The referendum law would be a golden opportunity for our democracy.

1.7 million Albanians live outside the homeland, the fact is that most of them are young people and do not have the right to contribute politically, because we want their money, but we do not want their political opinion. This is a constitutional right.

And finally, Depoliticization of Electoral Administration

It cannot be the contesting parties that count the votes. The Greek model is fantastic at this point because it has left the administration of elections to the professions and the judiciary.
