Sali Berisha tells the real reason why he participated in the May 14 elections

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama did everything to buy and manipulate the vote.

Invited to the show "Open" on News24, he said that the reasons why he participated in a pair of elections that he knew would have such acts, was because he did not want to fall prey to the trap set by Rama, with the postponement of the court's decision, obtaining the seal and not registering the head of the "Bashke Fitomje" coalition.

He added that he campaigned against Rama's monism, but he also had the PD signature, and according to him, he could not accept such a thing.

Berisha: We will go to the end and it will be known very well what the truth of this vote is. the electoral process is fundamental in a democratic system, it takes place on the basis of a law. For the first time in the country's history, it was annihilated because it was proclaimed by Rama to be Chinese. So there is no choice, there is farce.

In order to have elections, the spirit of the law must be strictly enforced.

Rakipllari: We don't know what choice Rama makes? We know this story. We do not know the cases of 2017?

Berisha: So it's not an election.

Rakipllari: where is the opposition going?

Berisha: Where is society going? If there is one thing that destroys a nation it is the destruction of the free vote of the opposition.

Rakipllari: don't you see anything of yourself? Do you see all the faults in the opponent?

Berisha: Because of the declaration of Chineseness, 628 thousand envelopes are distributed by government decision, there is no election.
If he distributes salary increases in the middle of the campaign, there is no choice.
In 2021, Rama distributed 93 million euros with Treasury bills in Durrës, Tirana, Lezhë and Laç, in April alone. It killed the vote, and I wrote 2 days after the election that the vote died without entering the box.
