February 11 protest, Kulluri: Berisha is radicalizing the political situation to

Analyst Edvin Kulluri has stated that the former prime minister, Sali Berisha, is trying to radicalize the political situation in the country to hide the real problems that "simmer" within the Democratic Party. During a statement to the media, Kulluri emphasized that the Albanian opposition has very little support among the citizens and this figure, he added, is approximately 26%. According to him, this tendency does not make the DP a main political force in the country. "Berisha radicalizes the political situation, to hide the real problems of the DP. There is no revolution with 26%. You are far from being a majority, you become a majority with 51%. They can make a mess, but it does not disrupt the majority-opposition balance. They should have been more patient. How many revolutions have been made today? Lulzim Basha has made over 10 revolutions. Where is now? Nowhere! PD has grown when it has moderated, not when it has radicalized. Now PD is worse than in '98. "DP cannot register in the elections today," he declared. As for the protest called on February 11, Kulluri emphasized that most of the deputies leave because they don't want to leave a bitter "taste" among the militants of the Democratic Party. "Most of the deputies leave because of the problem. This is falsehood in the eyes of the militants. They go out of trouble. PD lacks coherence. Votes do not come from protests. Berisha did not keep his word about open competition in the party. The first inconsistency was that there was no primary in the Democratic Party", Kulluri underlined.
