President Begaj meets the Secretary General of the United Nations Organization, António Guterres, here is what they discussed

The President of the Republic, Sh.TZ Bajram Begaj met on the day with the Secretary General of the United Nations Organization, Mr. António Guterres. At the beginning of the meeting, President Begaj congratulated the Secretary General for the commitment and vision shown in the direction of the UN. The Head of State underlined the contribution made by Albania in the last two years, for peace and security, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. According to President Begaj, Albania's commitment to the Security Council is a confirmation of Albania's role as a factor of stability not only in the Western Balkan region, but also beyond. The Sustainable Development Goals have been the focus of the High Level Week of the 78th Session of the UN Assembly, therefore, in this direction, President Begaj expressed to the Secretary General Albania's maximum commitment to the implementation of the SDGs and Agenda 2030.
