"It's hitting only from the left", Arben Kraja answers Rama: SPAK acts on the basis of evidence, the parties speak according to their interests! Here's what he says about the investigation against Berisha

The head of SPAK, Arben Kraja, has also spoken about the criticisms made to SPAK by politicians. In an interview for the Voice of America, asked if he feels under pressure after Rama's statements that he is attacking only from the left, Kraja stated that SPAK acts on the basis of evidence, while the parties - he said - speak according to their interests.
Asked what SPAK is doing about Sali Berisha, who has been declared non grata for corruption by the USA, Kraja said that "SPAK has a lot of criminal cases under investigation and we are determined to go to the end and bring him to justice when the criminal offense is proven."

Question: Sanctions have been imposed on Berisha for corruption, it seems as if the West is doing more than the Albanian authorities, what is the responsibility of SPAK, what will you do after this moment, will there be an investigation on this matter?
Arben Kraja: The problem of corruption in Albania, but also in the Balkans, is worrying. It is the lack of impunity of high officials. For this, a reform has been made in Albania, we have been working for two years to achieve concrete results. We cooperate with counterparts to combat this phenomenon. SPAK has many criminal cases under investigation and we are determined to go to the end and to bring them to justice when a criminal offense is proven.
Question: There is criticism against SPAK that no action is being taken against senior officials, while the prime minister says that you are only hitting the left, does this put you under pressure?
Arben Kraja: We act based on laws, public opinion and parties have the right to express themselves and everyone expresses it according to their interest. The problem is that we have to be conscious, we do not act according to a list, but act on the basis of the evidence that is administered by the investigation. When guilt is proven, we take measures for trial. What we have all agreed on is to stay as far away from these political opinions as possible. Each of the prosecutors has their own files and is independent.
