The fight against crime and the reform of justice are evaluated

Further, in the draft resolution presented by the EP rapporteur for Albania, Isabel Santos, the progress of our country in the fight against corruption and organized crime, as well as in the reform of justice, is assessed. On the other hand, as far as the political scene is concerned, the parties are called upon to commit to taking measures regarding concerns related to their financing. Meanwhile, for the first time in the draft resolution, the problem of opening the files of the State Security, which calls for declassification and making public to the citizens in order to progress in justice, is also discussed. The draft resolution was published last week on the European Parliament's website and is expected to undergo parliamentary procedures in the coming weeks.
