The EU Delegation in Tirana gives a strong message on the International Anti-Corruption Day, emphasizing that corruption exhausts Albania's vital resources, affects the rule of law and public confidence in institutions, as well as significantly slows down economic development.
In a post on Facebook, the EU clearly states that the fight against corruption is vital for the future of the Albanian people and for Albania's membership in the EU.
"Corruption exhausts Albania's vital resources, affects the rule of law and public confidence in institutions, as well as significantly slows down economic development. On International Anti-Corruption Day, we call on all institutions to intensify their anti-corruption actions and bring to justice all those involved in acts of corruption. It is vital for the future of the Albanian people and for Albania's membership in the EU. BE? Ja ???????? stands by Albania ???????? "and its people in this war," the EU message said.
