At the conference on the Population Census, Prime Minister Edi Rama said that he is proud of the way the Albanian state treats minorities.
The head of the Albanian government said that we have a law for minorities, optimal and radiant.
At the end of his speech, Rama said that no one can give Albania reason for the way minorities are treated. This statement comes after the claims of the Greek government and Sali Berisha for mistreatment of minorities and police actions against Fredi Beleri.
I also want to emphasize about minorities in Albania. I am very proud of many things about Albania, but one of the things that makes me most proud is that Albania has the most prominent European legislation. We made the new legislation for minorities without anyone asking us, and we wanted to make optimal radiation legislation. I am proud of the way Albania has treated the minority community. There is nothing different. There is not a single minority who stands up and says I have a problem related to the fact that I belong to another ethnic group. We knew very well that there are things to improve in every aspect. A lesson for minorities in Albania, no one cares about it.'- said Rama.
