The summer fair is held as part of "Open Balkan", here's who replaced Prime Minister Rama
Written by SOT.COM.AL 17 Nëntor 2023
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, seems to have found a new partner for the Open Balkans, after the exit from the initiative of the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, took part in the second summer fair within the framework of "Open Balkan".
It seems that Prime Minister Rama has been replaced by the new Montenegrin president.
President Vucic, in a conversation with Milatovic, before the opening ceremony of the fair, said that about 40 exhibitors from Montenegro are present at the fair, which is a large number for a country of such size.
"I am proud of Serbian wines, which are progressing faster. Montenegrin wines are also doing well," said President Vucic, adding that when it comes to wines, you can't fool anyone.
"You can cheat in the car market, but not in the wine market," said President Vucic.
Milatovic has said that he does not agree with the president of Serbia on all issues, but of course they agree on summer.
"I came at the invitation of the President of Serbia. Summer brings us together regardless of some minor differences. I congratulate Vu?i? for a great idea and a good organization and whether any regional integration will be called the Balkan Opera or the Berlin Process is less important, cooperation is important and this is the most important message," stressed Milatovi?.
President Vucic emphasized that in Berlin they don't like what they can't manage and that, despite this, he really likes the management through "Open Balkans".
"Through the Open Balkan initiative, we have visible results that can be seen through the numbers. Trade between North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia has increased by 25 percent. has exceeded one billion euros, which is the largest commercial exchange in the last 18 years between the two countries" - said President Vucic.
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, one of the co-creators of "Open Balkan" considered this initiative closed with the return of the Berlin Process some time ago. Although he was physically absent, Rama had a video message at the start of the fair.
After a long day, President Vu?i? enjoyed dinner with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovi?, and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kova?evski. On social networks, President Vu?i? shared a part of the atmosphere with the inscription: "Long live the friendship between Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia!".
