Mark Crawford speaks again: McGonigal and Rama were connected to the Russians, this is how they blackmailed him and pressured the American billionaire for oil

Written by SOT.COM.AL 18 Mars 2023

The honorary president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania, Mark Craëford, spoke again yesterday about the Rama-McGonigal scandal. While he was invited to a television studio, Mr. Craëford shed light on the cooperation of the former senior FBI official, Charles Mcgonigla, Mark Rosini and Prime Minister Edi Rama for giving oil wells to the Russians. "I talked to the journalist and he saw the investigation about the oil well and everyone in America thought that the Albanian government had this oil and was thinking of either giving the wells to the Russians who were coming through Austria or to the Russians who were came from Novisad in Serbia or those who were associated with a firm that now exists in Albania that were associated with Mcgonigal and Rosini. There is also a story that is earlier and in this story some of the members of the American Chamber are involved when I was the president of the chamber and I know more details and one of the investors was an American billionaire and it is interesting because it is not just the transfer from the Albanian government to Russian hands, but there is also the transfer of management from the Americans in this process, and this is something that is also included in the file", he declared. Craëford also stopped at another case when the oil company of the American billionaire Trans-Oil worked for less than a year in Albania and he had many obstacles and pressure from the government and left Albania with a bitter taste especially from the pressure and danger political. It is something that is public. It happened a few years ago. At first there was a company called Stream-Oil listed on the stock exchange in Canada that was an Albanian-Greek firm that were members of the chamber, they had permission to work in Cakran, Gorisht and Ballsh and then came Trans-Atlantic which was owned by an oil billionaire from Dallas-Texas and when he came here he was supported by our chamber and the embassy. He worked less than a year and he had many obstacles from the government there was pressure and from the price of oil and he left Albania with a bitter taste especially from the pressure and political risk and I talked to him in Texas and he had created a company another called GBC, Gorisht Ballsh and Cakran. In the end it turned out that some of those Russians appeared on the scene and asked the government to take the wells from the company and the government took them, then it went to arbitration and went step by step from the hands of the Americans to the hands of the Albanians and then to the hands of the Russians. And in the end Mcgonigal was connected to the Russians who took the wells. A question that came to me was why the Russians came for some small wells in Albania? It is understood that the oil being produced from Bankers was much thicker and the oil wells at Gorisht Ballsh and Cakran were oil wells that were used as thinners and used to join them with thicker oil and by joining them it helps to draw more oil from the ground and for transportation and other things", underlined the honorary president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania, Mark Craëford.
