Even yesterday's plenary session in the Parliament of Albania was engulfed by chaos and the blocking of the floor by opposition MPs. The Democrats reacted indignantly to the absence of Prime Minister Edi Rama for interpellation with the opposition regarding the involvement in the "McGonigal" scandal, passing the competence of the verbal confrontation to the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali. However, this did not stop the democratic deputies from insisting on their request to face the majority leader. After the socialists rejected the request of "Foltores" for a debate motion without a time limit with Rama, the opposition protested with whistles and banging on the tables as a sign of disagreement with the majority's rejection of Rama's call to the debate. Mazhoranca defended her boss with the claim that American justice is not investigating any Albanian state official for the scandal involving the former FBI agent, Charles McGonigal. The secretary of the official Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi, was expelled from the Assembly after removing the microphone from the Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi. After 3 hours of chaos in the parliament, the socialists continued with the agenda, where they approved 9 bills.

Gazment Bardhi: Rama should not hide behind Elisa's dress

Before being expelled from the works of the Parliament for blocking the plenary session, Gazment Bardhi insisted that the Prime Minister come to the Assembly and answer the opposition's questions about the involvement in the "McGonigal" scandal, for which he is accused of having bribed with 225 thousand dollars former FBI official to investigate DP for Russian lobbying. Më pas, ministrja Elisa Spiropali iu përgjigj Bardhit duke thënë se asnjë zyrtar shteti apo i qeverisë nuk po hetohet nga drejtësia amerikane për skandalin “McGonigal”. Ajo i kërkoi sekretarit të PD zyrtare që të mos kopjojë ish-kryeministrin Sali Berisha, i cili është përjashtuar për 10 ditë nga Kuvendi për protesta të vazhdueshme në seancën e kaluar plenare. Po ashtu, Spiropali i konsideroi akuzat e opozitës ndaj Ramës dhe mazhorancës si sulm politik. “Qetësohuni, kam gjithë durimin t'ju dëgjoj. Ju pyes se përse keni frikë nga gratë? Unë këtë e pres nga ata që kanë mbetur jashtë, por jo nga ju zoti Bardhi, se ju jeni profesionist i ligjit. Nuk ekziston në asnjë dosje. Lidhur me kërkesën e “Foltores” për mocion me debat pa kufij kohor, ai u përgjigj se do të shqyrtohet sot në Konferencën e Kryetarëve, për shkak të kapërcimit të afatit ligjor. Për skandalin “McGonigal”, Balla përsëriti qëndrimin në unison të mazhorancës se asnjë zyrtar i saj nuk po ndiqet ligjërisht nga drejtësia amerikane. “Kemi një problem me të vetët, po të ishit ju shumë serioz dhe të donit të bënit mocion me debat do të kishit lexuar pak nga kjo. Dhe do e kishit sjellë në kohë siç e bënë këta, ka disa afate. Dhe po ta kishit sjellë dje, nuk do të miratohej. Kërkesa juaj do të shqyrtohet nesër (sot) në Konferencën e Kryetarëve. Vazhdojmë, të votojmë kërkesën. Kjo është një nga seancat që tregon degradimin e turpit të kësaj palo opozite. I jeni referuar që nga mëngjesi diçkaje që nuk ka asnjë akuzë ndaj Shqipërisë, ka vetëm 1 person që është një ish zyrtar i FBI-së”, tha Balla në Kuvend.

Boçi: Rama goditi zemrën e SHBA, nuk do të tërhiqemi nga zbardhja e skandalit

Deputeti demokrat i Grupit të Rithemelimit të PD, Luçiano Boçi përsëriti qëndrimin e “Foltores” se do të vazhdojë betejën ligjore dhe politike për zbardhjen e lidhjeve të kryeministrit Edi Rama me Charles McGonigal. Ai e akuzoi kryeministrin se ka goditur rëndë SHBA me korruptimin e ish-shefit të kundërzbulimit të FBI, me qëllim përçarjen e shkatërrimin e opozitës. “Është vetë kryeministri i investuar në korruptimin e vendit, ka korruptuar mediat e parlamentin, më pas kaloi Oqeanin për të realizuar ëndrrën e tij, për të eliminuar opozitën. Ky njeri korruptoi, goditi zemrën e Amerikës. Ju po deshët mbrojeni, po deshët lëshojeni, ne do bëjmë zbulimin e të vërtetës”, tha Boçi në fjalën e tij në Kuvend.
