Kreshnik Spahiu reveals the purpose of the visit of the Kosovar Prime Minister: Kurti-Rama should remove the Albania-Kosovo border

Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that the head of the government of Kosovo Albun Kurti has come to Tirana to receive support after the agreement he signed in Ohrid with the Serbian president Aleksandër Vucic.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Spahiu made a call to the head of the government Edi Rama and to Albin Kurti.

He said that there should be an agreement between Kosovo and Albania to remove the borders between the two states.

"I think that Kurti has come to Tirana to provide support for Vucic.

I think that the purpose of Kurti's visit is to recover the harsh criticism that he has in Pristina regarding the agreement in Ohrid. Kurti needs this support because he managed to make a deal against himself. Kurti came to power under the condition that he will not sign for the association. Somehow I came to ask for some kind of support to recover the lost votes in Kosovo. The US and the EU have agreed that the Ohrid agreement will not be signed.

What I would do to Kurti and Rama in this meeting, apart from my cooking and the wine that accompanied their lunch today, is that they have a good agreement between Kosovo and Albania. Albin Kurti and Edi Rama should open the Albania-Kosovo borders. They both should remove the borders between Albania and Kosovo in "Open Albania" because removing the borders of both countries is the exclusive right of the two governments," he said.
