Jurist Kreshnik Spahiu, invited to Euronews Albania, said that there is a difference between the diplomatic relations of Prime Minister Rama and the leader of a part of the opposition, Sali Berisha.

According to Spahiu, Berisha sees Athens and Greece as the only way so that he can later establish some diplomatic relations, while on the other hand Prime Minister Rama maintains diplomatic ties with Washington-Berlin-Istanbul.

It is precisely these changes in diplomatic ties that, according to Spahiu, have made Rama appear as a big supporter of Erdogan's government in Turkey, while Berisha is positioned against him.

"We have a division between the position and the Albanian opposition. The socialist government has positioned itself in favor of the government in Turkey, which means in favor of Erdogan.

On the other hand, the Albanian opposition, represented by Berisha and Meta, have openly positioned themselves against Erdogan, considering neo-Ottomanism a danger in the Balkans. Berisha said in an interview two months ago that Albania's main partner in the integration process cannot be Turkey, but should be Greece.

So there is an ideological, diplomatic division of the concepts that Rama and Berisha have in diplomatic relations. Berisha sees Greece and Athens as "Noah's ark", which can save him from the ocean where he is between Great Britain, the United States of America and Europe, and Greece is left to establish diplomatic relations.
